Contrabass Series CB 15s
Engineered for Impact: Experience Bass Like Never Before!
The Contrabass CB 15s, with a power handling of 600 watts AES, is a low-profile 6th-order band-pass subwoofer using a custom-built 1x15" (375 mm) LF driver with a 4" sandwich cone voice coil. At 8 ohms and a sensitivity of 98 dB, it has a nominal/continuous SPL of 123/129 dB with a frequency response of 45 Hz to 150 Hz (at ± 3 dB). Constructed from 15/24mm multi-laminate birch, protected and covered in highly weather-resistant, non-toxic textured paint, its grill-less design protects the drivers. It has non-skid rubber feet and is available in black.
For demanding applications, the CSC Maestro MS 26 controller is configured to perform with it’s EQ, and limiter functions are pre-loaded in the controller. CC 8, CF 10, CF 12, CF 15, and CF 12h are a perfect match for CB 15s.
The Contrabass range of low-profile subwoofers is intended to be heard not seen. The trend for high-standard interiors in entertainment and catering venues requires subwoofers to be incorporated without taking up valuable floor space. It can be placed under a seat, next to a column, and can be easily mounted on the ceiling and walls. These can also conveniently be built into stages, steps, and vertical columns, creating an illusion of invisible subwoofers. Designed to complement all the Cello series tops, it adds significantly more bass energy and body to the sound, while improving the mid clarity by taking the stress away from the smaller mid drivers on the main cabinets it can custom match any decor upon request, owing to its innovative grill-less design.
